Keith Sones, President

Keith has over 20 years experience in the electrical power industry, including roles in project management, senior operations management and as a safety and health professional. His work in innovating construction safety in BC Hydro earned him the Canadian Society of Safety Engineering Safety Professional of the Year (Pacific) award. As a senior leader, Keith led the operations and construction groups for FortisBC for a number of years prior to heading up several large transmission and substation projects as the power system was expanded. Combined with certification as a Project Management Professional, his experience allows him to understand and respond to our customers’ financial, schedule and customer requirements. During his time with Allteck he has been instrumental in fostering new customer relationships and expanding company operations across Western Canada.

Gary Rodford, Chief Operating Officer

J. Gary Rodford joined Allteck Line Contractors as Chief Operating Officer in June 2009 following a career that spanned almost four decades with BC Hydro. When he left the public utility as Senior Vice President of Field Operations, Mr. Rodford led 2,500 employees in the operation and maintenance of the utility and managed its distribution and transmission systems. Over the course of his career, Mr. Rodford assumed increasingly responsible senior management positions and played a pivotal role in the development and implementation of major company restructuring. He represented the utility in forums involving the BC Cabinet, BC Hydro Board of Directors and industry executives. Mr. Rodford now leads the day-to-day operations at Allteck, overseeing all business divisions.

Robin Lucas, Senior Vice President of Operations and Projects

Robin Lucas joined Allteck Line Contractors Inc. in mid-2009 after spending two decades at the helm of the successful RR Interior Power & Electric Ltd., a company that specialized in the construction and maintenance of overhead, underground and substation infrastructure.

RR Interior Power & Electric Ltd.’s customers included some of British Columbia’s largest mining and forestry operations, independent power producers and utilities such as Taseko Mines Ltd.’s Gibraltar mine, Imperial Metals Corporation’s Mount Polley mine, Westfraser Timber, Tolko, BC Hydro and Enpower-Pristine Power Inc. Mr. Lucas continues to provide Allteck’s clients with the same high level of service and expertise.

Chris Grajek, Director of Health and Safety

As Allteck’s Director of Health and Safety since 2006, Chris Grajek manages and coordinates health, safety, work method, and environmental programs and initiatives for the company’s operations. Chris manages a team of trades trainers and field safety coordinators that develop and support the construction and maintenance activities locally and internationally. He is a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) with extensive experience in heavy construction, high voltage transmission/distribution/substation projects, remote and heavy terrain environments, air and marine logistical operations, and various specialized work methods for electrical utility sector. Chris is involved with a number transmission and distribution partnership task teams and is an active member of the Canadian Society of Safety Engineering (CSSE) and American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE).
