Our substations division offers a full range of services related to the installation and maintenance of electrical and communications systems. The highly-qualified Electricians and Wiremen in our substation division have the ability to complete a variety of projects.

Capabilities

Allteck has the capabilities for both greenfield and brownfield installation of high voltage substations. This includes the installation and testing of ground grid, structural elements, buswork, power transformers, circuit breakers, CTs and PTs, voltage regulation, reactors, capacitors, control building as well as all cabling and trenching. Setting up local or remote control systems and all testing of equipment is included, along with the provision of Quality Control and Quality Assurance.

Our team is experienced with the installation of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems via wire, fiber optic and microwave communication. Allteck provides the monitoring of alarms, controls and supervisory functions as needed by our client with an HMI (the HMI displays this information in an easily understood graphics form, archives the data received, transmits alarms and permits operator control as required).

Civil Construction

The substations division offers all civil construction solutions for our clients from access roads, foundations, transformer pads, footings for steel and equipment to full substation pad builds, or partial pad builds for substation expansion. Temporary oil containment facilities for use during oil filling of the transformer meet all local environmental regulations. New fencing or removal and renovation of existing fencing may be provided. Allteck is capable of meeting all of our clients’ civil construction requirements either on a new project or substation expansion.
